Anderson Wesleyan Catcher Walk-On Georgia Southern

rander.jpgRick Anderson, Catcher, The Wesleyan School Norcross Georgia, 2007 Graduate, earned a roster spot on Georgia Southern University’s Baseball Team. Hard work and dedication characterize Rick’s efforts and have earned him an opportunity to
“Compete at the next level!”

Rick is a true team player who is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team win.
He possesses solid fundamentals and has learned from the best in the business. Known for quick release, and footwork, he continues to improve. He’s a good RBI man with a consistently high OB % and puts the ball in play. During his high school career Rick was, a 3 Year Varsity Letterman - the starting DH, Co-Starting Catcher, Selected to the Top 25 Gwinnett County - with a .400 BA, and a vital part of Wesleyan’s success as 2007 State Finalist.

Ahlzadeh- Senior C/IF/OF .410 BA Offensive Player of the Year/All State Honors 6′ 205 lbs

Scouting Report - Avi Ahlzadeh - (C/IF 6′ 205 lbs. Pop Time 1.9’s, 7.1 sec. 60 yd) - Avi will be a four year Varsity Letterman.  Coming off of a stellar junior year that saw his team winning their region and being a state semi-finalist; he continued his winning ways by earning Offensive Player of the Year and All State Honors; while batting .410, with 23 RBI, .577 SLG%, .515 OB%.  As a sophomore, batting cleanup,  he helped Dunwoody to one of its most successful seasons ever as State AAA Champions & Region 5-AAA Champs.  In addition, Avi has major league ratings as a catcher in several categories. His  timed throw to second comes in at the 1.9’s second range. He runs a 7.1 second 60 yard dash and has a clocked throwing speed of 80 mph.  Avi also competes at the well known East Cobb facility Cobb County, Georgia, as a member of: the East Cobb Astros in 2007, the summer East Cobb Braves and the fall East Cobb Titans in 2008.  Academically he is a dedicated student and currently carries a GPA of 3.3 and has scored a 22 on the ACT.

Eric Jay Phillips “Athlete of The Year” .496 BA 14 HR, 56 RBI, 61 H - 3.9 GPA Honors Graduate Headed for Georgia Southern University

Scouting Report- Carrollton H.S. Carrollton, Georgia, SS/2B/P, Senior, Eric J. Phillips, voted Carrollton HS “Male Athlete of The Year”. At 6′ 2″ 190 lbs. Eric is a tri sport athlete who’s athletic talents and accomplishments are second to none.

In football, as team Captain, he was awarded the “Charlie Grisham Sportsmanship Award” and the “Iron Trojan Award. As a basketball star, Eric was, Captain and Carrollton HS “Most Valuable Player.”
